West Point House Dementia Resource Centre
INCH supported Alzheimer Scotland in the redevelopment of a recently acquired office building, transforming it into a central resource and national headquarters.
The project combined interior design, space planning and strategic design input, with a strong focus on creating an inclusive, dementia‑friendly environment. Our team provided specialist expertise in best practice dementia design, ensuring that design decisions were informed by research, lived experience and user needs.
Strategic guidance was embedded from the outset, shaping key design moves to support clarity, legibility and ease of navigation throughout the building. The resulting spaces are welcoming and functional, balancing operational requirements with a calm, non‑institutional atmosphere that supports comfort, dignity and confidence for building users.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful, strategically informed design can support organisational goals while creating environments that are both practical and compassionate.
