UWS Health & Life Sciences Campus
INCH has delivered a new, state‑of‑the‑art shared campus for the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and Dumfries & Galloway College, supporting the creation of contemporary learning environments designed to foster collaboration, flexibility and real‑world experience.
The design focused on delivering a suite of modern, adaptable and inclusive spaces, responding to the diverse needs of students, educators and visitors. Particular emphasis was placed on interiors that support skills development within the health and social care sector, ensuring environments are functional, legible and aligned with contemporary teaching methods.
Across the campus, learning, teaching and social spaces were carefully planned and detailed to support a range of activities and learning styles. Internally, the project includes ultra‑realistic simulated healthcare wards, an immersive learning suite using 360‑degree video, flexible teaching areas, open study spaces and a dedicated IT studio. Each space was designed to balance technical performance with comfort, clarity and ease of use.
The completed interiors deliver a cohesive, forward‑looking campus environment that supports experiential learning and collaboration, contributing to a vibrant educational setting for the region.
